WHEN SHOULD I CALL A CHIROPRACTOR?
If your horse has an injury the first point of contact should always be your vet. This way all the appropriate tests, x-rays and
scans can be done. Once the vet is happy with the results, he or she may then refer your horse for chiropractic treatment. It is very often
the case that chiropractic treatment can compliment veterinary care and speed up the healing process. It is also true that regular check-ups
may also help prevent injury and improve the performance of your horse.
Ideally every horse should be checked for any spinal and joint dysfunction at the start of every season to help iron out any potential problems, however minor,
before they become more serious. For performance horses, being asked to work with maximum effort, more regular treatments may prove beneficial in keeping them
fit and help in reaching their maximum potential.
