| Is the Treatment Painful? |
| No. At Avalon Keith uses an extremely gentle adjustment technique that does not make any 'cracking noise' and will not hurt the patient in any way. |
| |
| |
| Am I too old? |
| No, as Keith uses the gentlest of techniques it means anyone can benefit from chiropractic treatment. This means even elderly
people with osteoporosis or arthritis can be treated safely. It is very often the case with older
patients who suffer with joint and muscle pain very noticeable changes can be experienced after very little treatment. |

| |
| How many sessions will I need? |
This will depend on your particular condition, its severity and your response to treatment.
Some general examples are:
-
3-6 treatments for a simple case of low back pain that you have had for only a short period of time.
-
6-12 treatments for a long-standing (Chronic) condition. Follow-up sessions at regular intervals may be necessary to maintain improvement.
These are just very basic guidelines and can vary widely from patient to patient
|
| |
| |
| What happens at the end of the treatment? |
| Once the patient feels happy that the presenting complaint has been resolved he/she is free to go. However it has been shown
that periodic visits can help maintain what has been achieved through treatment and/or help prevent new problems arising.
The decision to continue with maintenance type care is very much a personal one and is not obligatory |

| |
| Is Chiropractic Safe? |
| Chiropractic is remarkably safe when carried out by a suitably qualified practitioner. In fact a number of studies have
shown that Chiropractic treatment is significantly safer then common alternatives such as long-term use of pain killers, anti-inflammatory medication or surgery. |
| |
| |
| Can I help myself as well? |
| Absolutely! Recent research has indicated that patients who perform Rehabilitative exercises in conjunction with their
Chiropractic treatment improve more quickly than those who do not. During your treatment we will instruct you on what exercise will help your condition. |
| |
| Will I need x-rays? |
| This depends on the nature of the case. Should they be required we can organise to get them done very swiftly and allow the treatment to continue on. |
